They won't add chocolate water and actually, it didn't feel like there was anything missing on the elevator scene - I totally forgot it was made of glass and bought into the idea it was just invisible (as Wonka explains!).
If I stay awake, it must be good.

Ahh ok :) Is the elevator the final part of the show, they leave and show over?

Would have been more impressive if they fly over the audience lol

Chocolate water? Get real! How do you expect them To do that 8 shows a week? It's theatre... What they've done sounds theatrical to me. Anyone seriously expecting a liquid river on stage is a total pleb.

Sorry, i just assumed that a certian other show that has managed to "SING IN THE RAIN" for a year and a half was a perfect example that water could be used onstage... :P

I've seen many shows incorporate vast amounts of water on stage. A river is a no go for obvious reasons, but it could be done,
If I stay awake, it must be good.

There's a difference to rain falling and a river of brown liquid... That a child falls in.

It's the theatre.. I'd much rather it was done in a non realistic style

If this show hasnt been sucessfull in its technical elements, its fair to see why! From the get go its had this massive pressure to be the most technical show ever on the west end, it was never going to live up to everyones expectations 100%. It sounds like a stunning show regardless of its apparent faults, i wont judge tho until i see it for myself :)

The creatives said ages ago there would be no river, and also a river is flat, so a large proportion of the audience wouldnt be able to see it anyway.  A waterfall that shimmers, or has the illusion of moving water could be done though.

Sounds interesting but will see how the reviews continue over the coming weeks
