I realise it is very early, but a bit of speculation is always fun, and it looks like we could have one of the best races I have seen at the awards this year. In theory, the lists could be:

Best New Musical:
-Book Of Mormon
-Once
-Charlie and the Chocolate factory
-Stephen Ward
-Newsies (may not open in time, but is rumoured to be aiming for spring 2014)
-The Commitments
-From here to eternity
-I can't sing

Best Musical Revival
-Barnum
-Miss Saigon
-Merrily We Roll Along

And there is still most of the year for new productions to be announced!

My personal predictions are:

Musical: Mormon
Revival: Miss Saigon
Actor: Christopher Fitzgerald
Actress: Whoever gets kim, or Alexia Khadime if Saigon doesn't open in time
Supporting: Stephen Ashfield
Technical Awards: Charlie and the Chocolate factory

What does everyone else think?
2002: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
2004: Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat
2008: Mamma Mia
2009: Sound Of Music, Les Miserables, The Woman In Black
2010: Wicked
2012: Wicked, Chicago, Legally Blonde, Ghost, Wizard Of Oz, Phantom Of The Opera (UK Tour), Matilda, Sweeney Todd, Taboo (Brixton), Wicked, Wicked
2013: Lift (Soho), The Book Of Mormon, Avenue Q (Off-Broadway), Newsies (Broadway), Wicked (Broadway), Pippin (Broadway), The Lion King.
PLANNED

I did wonder that, but if Bertie Carvel got leading actor for truchbull, then Nabalungi is definitely leading!

I hope Once wins Best Musical, but it probably won't.  I do agree that if Charlie opens to strong reviews it could well beat Mormon.

Would Dirty Dancing going into the Picadilly count as revival?

I thought we had decided they just nominate the last thing they have seen cos poor dears they have no long term memory and anyway the list is doctored by the Society of West End blah blahs. So v little point in speculating at this stage of the game.

Nabalungi is featured. Nikki James won the Tony for featured so guess it would be the same here.

Yeah, but I'm sure if the producers pushed it they could get her into leading actress, which they may well do if they think Stephen has a good shot at Featured!
