Although I'm not from Melbourne as an Australian I am so pleased about this!
Don't we get to be happy? At some point down the line, don't we get to relax without some new tsuris to push me yet further from you!

Who dare tell the lambs in Spring what fate the later season brings?

I suspect if this is successful Broadway will be their ultimate goal, King Kong is clearly much more of an American story than a British one. Let's hope it goes well for them.

I must admit, this does look quite an impressive production. If they manage to pull it off in Australia - as I'm sure they have selected there to judge whether it'll be a success elsewhere - it'll be aiming for Broadway. It looks like a very expensive show though, which may be a downfall.

I saw the videos on Broadway World and thought it looked amazing - though as people have said It'd be interesting to see how they deal with the puppet when he's not meant to be on stage (assuming he can't just be taken on and off...)
That said, the effects even at this stage look amazing.  I expect it'll be one of those shows that you see for the experience rather than the music though.
