I'm hoping  a "big play" will go into the Harold Pinter after Merrily. Another of one of Sonia Friedman's starry revivals - which are generally pretty good - perhaps?

That's the sort of announcement I've been waiting for as well - but for the start of August I imagine they would have to announce one pretty soon?
2014 theatre: Blithe Spirit (Gielgud)  Booked: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Savoy)  Waterbabies (Curve)  View from the Bridge (Young Vic)  Birdland (Royal Court).

Yes- Merrily won't extend I don't think, it's not selling too well. But they (whoever they be) need to announce something soonish, unless it'll be dark? Hope not.

Or unless a successful off-West End limited run or Edinburgh fringe buzzer is transferred in, which would benefit from a shorter leadtime from announcement to opening?

Would the pyjama game be available perhaps.
Edit
And wasn't there a rumour of Renee zelweger being in a play this autumn.

Yes I was thinking that - highly likely it will transfer somewhere given the enthusiastic reviews.

I think Chimerica will end up at the Pinter or Vaudeville. The number of playhouses available are limited at the moment.

Chimerica needs a revolve. Do all theatres have one these days? I usually hate them but in this case it is well used. Deserves a transfer into town.

Baz claimed she'd be appearing a stage version of the 1961 Paul Newman flick 'The Hustler' during the autumn, but have heard nothing since, and he hasn't had the best track record for "scoops" lately.
