It was seriously going to announce its closing a few days before MJ died, since then (and most certainly at that time) they have at least kept things running.

I heard Memphis was going to the Savoy a while back, but looks like it's fallen through as Newsies is set to go there from 2014/2015 I think. Not quite sure what's happening as Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is due to open there in 2014. However I have heard From Here to Eternity is not selling very well, lots of discounted tickets at the moment so I can't see the show sticking round for much longer so maybe they might consider the Shaftesbury? Like I said, not sure what's happening. I think the West End is having a huge problem with theatres at the moment, most of them are being used and I think they need to consider building more theatres or closing down some shows that have been running for years.

But there is the financial side of things so complications are bound to happen.
