I bumped into one of my mum's friends the other day when I was with a female friend (who is going out with my male friend) and she started saying we would make a lovely couple. My friend explained awkwardly she already had a boyfriend, instead of leaving it there my mum's friend started telling her all the good things about me and how really I would be much better for her than him (pretty cringe!).
The week after my friends got engaged, better not tell my mum's friend!
I don't know if you actually care or not, but, um, no I didn't. But on my glooooooooorious weekend to Stratford I went with a different dear female friend of mine, and when I told my parents I was going with her it took barely a minute for them to ask "Oh, is she single?" Embarrassingly the answer was yes, so I had to somehow answer "Yes but I'm only sharing a hotel with her for heterosexual theatrical reasons" in fewer words.

The earlier anecdotes about elderly predators support my theory that Vicious was a reality documentary series.
