I'm not a catholic and found this play hilarious, and catholics find it more so!

Genuine question:- Is it just funny for people who were themselves once a catholic? Or would Abu Hamza also be rolling in the aisles?

Abu hamza wanted to come but the tricycle wouldn't accept his concessions

Just booked a ticket for a preview. £10 in the 'slips' - what a steal! Anyone seen it before or read it?

Just got back.

It's a pretty trite play, that has not dated well at all. Subjects that must have seemed so risky when first staged fall completely flat now.

But the cast are excellent and Cecila Noble (in a role spookily and dangerously similar to her one in Amen Corner) steals the show.

As a period piece in a sort of "carry on" way it is amusing enough and the sort of thing Tricycle audiences will find hilarious.

No ovation tonight.

It's hardly that sort of thing anyway.
