I've just seen a pic of her alongside the actresses playing Tanya and Rosie and it confirmed what I suspected, this Is a seriously bad piece of casting!
I like her a lot but it seems to be she's been totally miscast, and Is a good 10 years too young . Anyone seen it with this few cast?

I don't think it's fair to say someone has been miscast based on a picture.  Unless you've seen her on stage alongside her on-stage daughter, you can't really say if she looks too young.

The fact is she's 38... That makes no sense at all when her friends are in their 50's.

In the pictures that I have seen, Dianne is actually made to look just that little bit older, so perhaps it makes it a more acceptable.

I haven't seen the new cast in the show yet but looking at the pictures from the press night (well, press matinee!) of the three ladies Dianne looks considerably younger than the other two ladies so I'd think they'll have to do some quite significant make up for the show if they want to try to make her look the same age.

Well I've seen her in the show a couple times and though she does look somewhat younger than the two actresses playing her friends, it still works. I think it's partly to do with her brilliant acting which makes her 'Donna' very believable despite her young age. It also simply doesn't look 'as weird' when you watch her in the context of the show, rather than just seeing one picture of them together.

I've also seen Dianne's Donna and neither think she's too young; she works pretty well with her fellow Dynamites on stage.

From time to time Dianne's squeaky Glinda voice came through and when I closed my eyes, I actually saw Glinda in her pink gown chanting ABBA songs in my inner eye - really strange.
