Re writes have been almost completed, will open spring 2014, i believe its UK & Irish tour not west end straight off but possibly with view of moving there after tour.

yippee - so loved the show. I wonder what they have changed. The big change from the film of course, is the fate of Betty. Narratively, she needs to be dispatched, but the needs of a feel good musical are different- something of a conflict there. The stage show didn't quite have the Macbeth references that Bennett put in but there were still echoes of the power struggles and social climbing.

They can't seriously believe this will ever make it back to the West End.
Excuse me if I seem jejune
I promise I'll find my marbles soon.

A great score but dull show. Sarah Lancashire was the saving grace.

I love the soundtrack. I preferred Lend Me A Tenor as a show which was on at the same time, although I prefer more of the Betty songs!

I too doubt  very much so it will end up back in the west end in the next few years. Its not like there was a huge demand for tickets when it closed.
