It's an odd play: a hybrid of ancient Greek tragedy - in writing style and content - against a far more visceral and colloquial modern military play. It doesn't all work. Lines feel misplaced, and the juxtaposition of mythology and Greek imagery with the world of YouTube, smart phones and aircraft cannot be fully  reconciled. But when it focuses on just the human side, looking at the relationship between men and allies, rather than gods, it's far more powerful and compelling.

Joe Dixon is excellent in the titular role and there's sterling support from Frances Ashman as Tecmessa.

So worth seeing, though I wished they'd cut the colour-changing pantomime lighting whenever the genie... sorry... goddess, comes on.
