Hi,

I am just wondering if anyone has performed at or been to see anything in Barrow-In-Furness at the Forum Theatre, or Forum 28 as I think it has been re-named.

I am due to perform in a show there towards the end of the year and just windered what the venue is like? These is a council website but not very informative.

As I am going to be spending quite some time there, any info from a performer/theatre goers view very much appreciated.

Cheers   smile.gif

It is a modern flat floored multi purpose hall with raked retractable seating - when I last saw it, Forum 28 was more like a sports facility than a theatre but it may have improved over the last five years  huh.gif I may have a photo - I will check.
The engine roared, the motor hissed,
And who could see that the road would twist

Errrm.

These are not pictures I am proud of blink.gif

They were taken in 1997 and are scanned which does not improve the quality. It probably looks a lot better with the seating out.

However, apologies!  I think I may have exagerrated the charms of the building in my previous post!

If Barbara Dickson is willing to brave it!

Thanks for those Ian. It's paid work, we can't be too picky I guess!

Dear god. It looks a bit better out front but the actual venue looks exactly the same as when I last played it (which by my estimate has to be 15 years ago!!)
