SITPWG (NT) Ragtime - Even though they both have Maria Friedman in
Plus On the Town
Carrie (for curiosity reasons)
The Sheffiled production of Fiddler as Henry Goodman and Beverley Kleine are just a perfect match
I would also like a London recording of Avenue Q as Julie Atherton is fabulous and a complete recording of Wicked would would be very nice
Possibly Opera North's One Touch of Venus - although I think it could be done with better singers
Broadway has been very good to me. But then, I've been very good to broadway.

i'd like a london avenue Q recording too
and i'm probably in a minority but i really wish there'd been a recording of the current guys and dolls revival
merrily we roll along at the donmar warehouse

I did enjoy it but they only have a sort of Highlights CD. I liked the music and it holds a special meaning to me.
Also I wish they recorded the recent Mack and Mabel production, because I loved the casting.

I agree with that. It's a fantastic new orchestration and having a cast recording with the extended Sit Down You're Rockin' The Boat, Adelaide and the new Havana scene would be ace - not to mention having Jane Krakowski and Euan McGregor on CD!!!
Never mind :-( xx

I wish there had been a recording of the Salisbury production of The Hired Man in 2003. There was a new song written for the show, and there was some truly beautiful singing in it. It was one of those shows where I'd wished I'd smuggled a tape recorder in, but as my tape recorder is a big four-track reel to reel jobby that needs a mains supply, is wheeled around on its own trolley, and makes a loud thunk and twang as the motors kick in and spin the tape up to 15 inches per second, it might have been a little conspicuous. That, and the fact that a 2500' reel of tape only lasts 33 minutes so I'd have to ask them to stop the show half way through each act while I swapped reels, made me suspect I might have some trouble getting away with it.
