Relative Values At The Harold Pinter

11 February 2014 - 05:02 PM

The Theatre Royal Bath production of Relative Values is to transfer to the Harold Pinter Theatre from the 19th March to June 21st with Patricia Hodge, Rory Bremner and Caroline Quentin reprising their roles, Interesting that Caroline Quentin is going straight from Oh What a Lovely War from this with only a few days break and Trevor Nunn is also going to be on double duty with this and Fatal Attraction at the Haymarket.

Wonder who's replacing Katherine Kingsley since she will be in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,

Almeida Rebrand

10 December 2013 - 12:04 AM

I've noticed today that the Almeida have rebranded their logo, I'm guessing with Rupert Goold coming in as Artistic Director, they've decided to have a refresh, I quite like it although I imagine it'll have its critic.

The design can be their website and on Design Week's website:

Closer 2014 Revival?

28 October 2013 - 04:29 PM

There was an article in the Daily Mail that Carey Mulligan may be returning to the West End in a revival of Patrick Marber's Closer, the director David Leveaux has denied the casting but it does confirm the play is coming next year. I'm guessing it'll be a commercial production rather than somewhere like the National or Donmar. I've only seen the film version and thought it was good so interested to see how it works as a play.

Raving

19 October 2013 - 10:46 PM

Saw it today and quite enjoyed it, the story is a little familiar but it's well acted with some hilarious moments. It seemed to go down a storm with the audience who I watched it with tonight so it'll be interesting to hear other opinions.

Hamlet With Benedict Cumberbatch

20 September 2013 - 12:23 PM

There is an article in the Daily Mail about Benedict Cumberbatch possibly returning to the stage in a new production of Hamlet directed by Lyndsey Turner and produced by Sonia Friedman in 2014. Given how much his fan base has increased due to Sherlock, Star Trek and upcoming films like The Fifth Estate, this will be a hot ticket. Wonder what theatre they'll choose? I think either the Gielgud, Pinter or Wyndhams.
