I'd rather stick pins in my eyes quite frankly!

(No offers to do it for me  thanks!!)

That is all very well but I bet hardly anyone is paying full price. It's just not good enough considering the cost of the theatre and the huge production. I've had endless emails this week with ticket deals.

He was brilliant on the NT50 show . Made a huge impact in minutes.. Such is his talent.

Mark I saw this recently In NY too and I totally agree. The best musical I've seen in years. Moving, beautiful, elegant and the two best performances I've seen in a long long time. I hope it sweeps the Tonys. It's way better than the other new shows.

I want it to come here... But with those leads and that beautiful production.

#299651 Evita Westend 2014

Posted MrBarnaby on 07 April 2014 - 09:45 PM

How can anyone who's seriously interested in quality productions being performed in London get excited about a touring version of Evita  clogging up a west end theatre?

I'm not trying to discredit the production... It may be marvellous, but nonetheless it's a touring production of a show seen in London in recent years and it's just not good enough.

I'm starting to despair at the general lack of quality in the west end at the moment.

Daniel I'm tempted to say I will go with you.. I'm sensing we'd have totally explosive chemistry... I seem to get you so worked up and I could totally change that to lust when you see my hotness. Xoxo MrB

Ps.

Your opinion is valid, when you see it you're sure to see its SHITE!!

"This is infantile, witless, noisy, embarrassing, derivative, shamelessly money-grubbing tripe, like some horrible offspring of tele-virtual incest.."

For those obsessed with star ratings... It's a one star review.

Raoul your words have really upset me....

... Oh wait, I couldn't care less!

And for your information, I am the first to praise a show I like... Matilda.. Charlie... Urinetown... And like EVERYONE else who didn't like this show, I'm happy to say why... And of course I believe my opinion is right.

And as important as I think I am, my little opinion on this board won't 'kill the show'... The show itself is doing that nicely!

God I can't even imagine what guff she tweets.. Probably things about being 'blessed' and 'humble' ... I'm going to look now!

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the critics were 'encouraged' to give good reviews. It's a shambolic embarrassing show so something suspicious is clearly going on. It won't save it though.
