The play is about multiple viewpoints, perceptions and remembrances of history - the daughter, the son, the aunt, the father and the mother.  Playing in the round will force the viewer to shift gaze and focus to each of these characters rather than in the traditional staging where the gaze is fixed at the character centre stage.

Rachel Griffiths originated the daughter on Broadway but the 'star' part was the Aunt played by Judith Light who won the Tony.  I saw Stockard Channing and Stacy Keach as the parents and really hope they come over with the production.

Really enjoyed this.  3.5 hours just flew by.  Although difficult to sympathize with any of the characters this is an engaging and thought provoking play.  An interesting mix of naturalistic and poetic language, good performances and a great set.  Highly recommended.
