Stroke Of Luck @ Park Theatre

26 January 2014 - 08:11 PM

Anyone know if Stroke of Luck is suitable for a 14 year old ? Was thinking of going along at the weekend because I'd like to support the theatre as much as possible.

I've tried telephoning and emailing but haven't had a response.

I appreciate it's a brand new play so it's probably a tricky question for this board.

If we do go, let's just hope it's not like the first 5 minutes of Barking in Essex.  Or, on reflection, let's hope it's not like any of Barking in Essex.

Buying In Advance For Cheap Prices

14 October 2013 - 01:13 PM

Hi

I'm in a position where I can't take advantage of last minute deals.
I can attend a variety of plays in West End / Off West End theatres on Mon-Thu evenings.  However, I need to plan and
buy the tickets at least several months in advance.

Are there reasonable deals out there for early bookers ? I'm aware of the Young Vic £10 in advance; the Menier couple
of £ discount for early bookers.  Any others ?

Thanks in advance.

Talk Show @ Royal Court

19 July 2013 - 08:22 AM

Although it seems trivial to discuss the play itself given the tragedy of what happened to Paul Bhattacharje, I'm sure that as a professional actor he's wishing the rest of group all the best.

Has anyone else seen it ?  I saw it on Tuesday night and was aware Paul had gone missing but not that his body had been found.

I thought the play itself was brilliant.  Despite the disruption that must have been felt by the cast I thought they performed admirably.  A lovely balance of humour and the darker side of family life.

The fight scene between the two brothers was probably a bit unecessary but overall it was one of my highlights of the last few months.
