My first musical was The Sound of Music with Petula Clarke at Apollo Theatre in 1982 - was a birthday treat. Got my first ever autograph then from Michael Jayston who was Captain Von Trapp.  He was very nice.  Hooked on musicals ever since. Used to go yearly as a birthday treat and once working and earning went bit more often.

Alistair if the show is sold out I think they do standing tickets on the day and of course there will be a returns queue which will sell tickets for face value if sold out.  You can always try to see what tickets they have if you have no luck with Mormon.

Me and my friend tried 3 times last week but had no luck.  The first time my mom and I went for lotto we got tickets so think it is worth trying.   With TKTS around the corner we found that we still ended up with good seats at shows.  One of the days we went from Mormon to Merrily we Roll along and got great day seats.  Worth trying as the tickets in the front are great value.
