To raise the tone of this thread, The Duke and Duchess of Kent at Die Frau Ohne Schatten at the Royal Opera last night.

For the benefit of non-German-speakers, Die Frau ohne Schatten translates as The Woman who Shat Herself.

Awful play

The worst sort of American rubbish- they are so impressed with mediocre plays

The last 10 minutes are laughable

And the final scene cringe worthy

Cast are totally wasted in this but without the sort of talent they have it would have been unwatchable

Sinead Cusack is outstanding in her role

I have to comment Peter Egan was terrible
Even more evident against the rest of the strong acting
He was wholly unconvincing and should not be given such large roles

In the end the characters are so unlikeable and the family is so pathetic with such contrived dialogue and pitiful cliches

You didn't care about anyone and I really wanted the daughter to just kill herself (which reflects how well Martha Plimpton portrayed her I suppose)

Avoid if possible

Don't know why on earth they will keep bringing below par plays to large venues

Daniel I'm tempted to say I will go with you.. I'm sensing we'd have totally explosive chemistry... I seem to get you so worked up and I could totally change that to lust when you see my hotness. Xoxo MrB

Your opinion is valid, when you see it you're sure to see its SHITE!!
