I was really disappointed with this production, the acting seemed good but it was not very funny and surely its meant to be funny all be it with an edge.  Maybe its a dated play or perhaps it needed a more experienced director.  Also does it really need to be set in the 1980's yes the prices would need changing but the situation's are all contemporary including the obession with cooking.  For those interested it is now running at 2hours 30 so some things have changed since previews

A brilliant production of a classic play, having seen a few productions of this play its up there in terms of performances with the very best.  However, I found the music both moving and annoying and some other decisions were distracting.  However, its yet again a must see production at the Young Vic.  How come other theatres seem unwilling to do something like this?

This is the type of show that would attract people to a Sunday performance instead of Monday

The reviewers have been a lot better than I was expecting!  And as others have said I really can't see this show lasting very long, when I left I overheard some people and one person said it wasn't as bad as they thought it was going to be but it wasn't as funny as TV Burp which about sums it up for me.  Who is this show for? Its a cross between various other (better) shows but without any really memorable music.
