#276330 Disgraceful Customer Service

Posted Matthew Winn on 27 August 2013 - 08:01 PM

I'm not seeing the issue here. I filled my car with petrol yesterday in preparation for a long journey on Saturday. If the price of petrol drops between now and when I use it should I get some of my money back? Apparently so, by the OP's logic. Conversely, I wonder how he'd feel if the price went up and they made him pay the extra before they'd honour the booking. After all, if price reductions apply retroactively then surely price increases should do the same.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if in due course we see this story from the other side on Not Always Right.

God, I'm well not looking forward to this. From what Iv read on here, u walk in and it's a slaughterhouse of Shitness. The music? Shit. The sets? Shit. The kids? Not shit but still shit.

The first half is uncolourful and long. The second half is too colourful and short.  The paper plane bit is magical unless u can see the wire, and then it's like being told Santa is a rapist.

We hate the theatre for not smelling of chocolate. We hate MnM world FOR smelling of chocolate. We r pretty sure Hodge's performance isn't Wilder's, nor Depp's but we ain't certain.

Vivian obviously isn't 90. The glass lift is/isn't needed. Pure Imagination is the only song we will enjoy.

Basically only a pigeon with a limp would enjoy this twaddle.
I'm in the gods on 13th July. Il let u know what I hate about it shortly after.

Postscript: I'm white, gay, poor working class.

Postpostscript: if u dislike what I have written then its just fond satire. I love this site to death but is completely up its own bottom at times :)

#266044 The Audience, I Just Booked

In the ever diminishing world of "celebrity" and the overuse of the word "star". I can officially say that Dame Helen Mirren IS a STAR!

Would have been more impressive if they fly over the audience lol

Two versions at the Adelphi were enough for me.  No way I would see a third version.

Oh good lord I saw The Bodyguard last night....

Firstly I have to say OH WOW to the caliber of audience member. I was sat in the Upper Circle so perhaps I shouldn't have been surprised by comments such as "ooh, do you fink they are gonna like show the film" or BEFORE THE SHOW STARTED "how am I supposed to see with that curtain in the way". Oh dear.

The show itself was a bit of a shocker... It missed out essential plot lines such as the fact that Nikki hires a hitman to kill Rachel? ALSO I do not know why they felt the need to use so many blooming projections on gauzes! It was such a cop out! Big chase scenes were projected on stage, rather than acted out. What is the point of making a film into a stage show if you are going to project film instead of action!

The song list was a bit strange too...'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' for the reprise seemed just more like an ode to Whitney rather than having any benefit to the musical what so ever.

If anyone does see the show, I recommend that you avoid the Upper Circle (although the view was fine, the constant stream of chatter and stupid comments whilst the show was taking place were not)
I anyone involved in the production of the show sees this message: PLEASE lord rethink the overuse of projections. It's just not necessary.

I just booked weekend trip to Denmark with front row tickets only to see their final performance. Couldn´t resist. I´ve been to Copenhagen and Det Ny theater couple months ago and their production of Singing in the Rain was BRILLIANT! I am sooo excited!!! Hopefully it won´t end as last time when I bought tickets to last show of LND with Ramin Karimloo and the whole thing got canceled:/

I thought Will Young was brilliant - much to my surprise to be honest.... Michelle Ryan was just bland and the ensemble looked like they really couldnt be bothered most of the time.. but it was worth seeing just for Will

I am there on Thursday, also front row - booked them so long ago I can't even remember how much I paid.  I have only heard good things about this show and having never seen the film I have nothing to compare it to which makes it even more exciting for me.
