I didn't slag you off, I only pointed out that your specific allegation was factually inaccurate. Didn't disagree with your substantive point though, I never use tkts any more either. Nice to be called a dquare again though, it's been a while.

The highlights show cut out far too much - it really does make it look like musical showcase. The intro mentioned that it was a celebration of theatre, opera and dance but did we actually see any opera/ dance awards?!

Very disappointed they cut Joseph Calleja's performance too - had a look to see if some of the cut awards or performances were available online but it doesn't look like it.  Given that they were all filmed, it's even more disappointing not to have them available.

I did reply to the email from the Donmar and I was asked to perform a trivial task in advance which meant that I played a very small part in the play on the evening I went.

I can't say that would necessarily be the same for everyone as there could be multiple aspects to the 'prework' and you might be asked to do something different from that which I was asked to do, but the experience for me was interesting and unchallenging.  It would have been easy for me not to participate at all on the night if I had chosen not to do so, but as I say this may not be the same for everyone.

In the pre-show instructions those without smartphones or other devices are asked to befriend a neighbour so that they can get a sense of what's going on... so you'll still get an idea of what's happening if you don't have a device of your own.

The show is listed on the Donmar website as around 2h30 but is running about 2h45 at the moment so I guess they expect to make some cuts based on what is working and what isn't.  I'm almost tempted to try and get another £10 ticket at the end of the run to see how it has evolved.
