Favourite shows were MOJO, Peter and Alice and Once. Favourite performer Ben Whishaw by a mile.

Saw this on Friday night and admittedly only originally booked to see it because of the cast. Ben Whishaw was brilliant as already mentioned by other posts, Daniel Mays was a revelation and was pleasantly surprised by Rupert Grint. Overall I thought the play was very good but the second half seemed a bit too long for me. I would have loved to have seen it again but distance, my purse and the  fact that its pretty much sold out means not this time alas!

My first visit to the West End was to see Godspell in March 1973  starring David Essex and Jeremy Irons. We had wanted to see Jesus Christ Superstar but couldn't get seats but did manage to see it a few years later.

All I am asking is why do people feel the need to take a picture of everything they see. After all the set at the beginning of Peter and Alice is only rows and rows of books. Why is that so interesting that a picture must be taken of it!

Picked up the DVD for £7 in Sainsbury's yesterday. Watching it now. It's not inspiring me to see the arena tour.

I'm not even inspired to buy the DVD because of the awful casting!

Saw the show yesterday afternoon in Edinburgh and thoroughly enjoyed it. Olivia Brereton was on as Christine and thought she was brilliant. Had tears in my eyes when she sang "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again". Have never seen Katie Hall so can't compere. John Owen Jones was brilliant as always. Theatre was about three quarters full and gave a well deserved standing ovation at the end. If only I had sufficient funds to see it again!

A couple of years ago I was in London to see another show and went to collect my tickets to see Three Days of Rain starring James McAvoy.  As I was walking away from the theatre James was coming towards me, I was so surprised and now wish I had stopped to say hello! On the night we went to the show it was Comic Relief and after the bows the cast made an announcement for their collections and Nigel Harmen dared James to do a handstand on stage, which he counted to see how long he could stay up. A great experience all round :-)

I have just read in todays paper that Andrew Lloyd Webber has signed with ITV to find a leading man to star in Jesus Christ Superstar. I do hope this happens as this show is one of my all time favourites. Steve Balsamo is also on board whom I think has a fantastic voice and would make an ideal judge/mentor. Any thoughts of who else could be on the panel? Am so looking forward to this happening.
