she shouldn't go off for a broken toe on her little toe, people always break that when stubbing their toe without even knowing about it, painful but she'll be able to walk, it's not a hugely physical role! i'd be surprised if she went off truth be known.
having said that i wonder why they won't use any of the covers they've already got without having to get ashley in? is there no second cover elphie?
I do wonder what kind of contract they have performers like Ashleigh on to get them to act as 'standbys' last minute (they did it with Stephanie J. Block a few years ago too), given strict Equity rules and employment law etc.

Anyway I haven't posted here in ages. I saw the new cast's first, my first time seeing the show since Alexia/Diannes' last. Can't comment much as it was a bit like seeing the show for the first time again after so many years (was also in nosebleed seats!), and I don't remember much specifically. Loved Willemijn and Savannah though - both top notch singers and actresses in their respective roles. Also enjoyed seeing Katie back as Nessa.

I don't keep up with the show much anymore but I'm guessing Willemijn and/or Savannah, as well as a few others, will be leaving at the same time and intend on seeing their lasts. They're exceptional performers who deserve a big send off (especially if this is Willemijn's last last).

That seems very logical. But when the 2010 cast first started (Rachel, Louise, Nikki), Ashleigh didn't stay on as standby when Nikki joined. Nikki immediately became the standby (even though she may have not been fully rehearsed, either). Rachel didn't miss any shows in her first month anyway, so Nikki didn't have to go on. But it's still a bit bizarre.
Kerry Ellis started missing shows after her first as lead and Cassidy Janson had to go on (original understudy) until Shona White was rehearsed enough, which was the end of January. You would think they'd rehearse standbys with the new cast beforehand though.

I don't doubt that she will!

I wonder why Louise was off again though?

She obviously has trouble singing the score, more likely than actual 'illness' in most cases. Kerry Ellis and Alexia Khadime were pretty similar - Kerry didn't do matinees and the odd evening show for the first few months in London and missed something like half her performances on Broadway.
