If there is one thing this show has done well is enable the parodies to be constructed superbly. They are all very recognisable and good fun. Just a shame that, in my eyes, there's little else going for the show.

The Royal Variety Performance was definitely the highlights package of the production.

I'd agree with the above - Once truly shows the power of what musicals can be like when stripped back and raw. It demonstrates brilliantly that you do not need flashy sets and lighting tricks, just a powerful score and heartfelt story.

Whether you expect it to be "your type" of musical or not, I thoroughly recommend giving it a go.

I was under the impression they were all free tickets yesterday, and people I know got upper level so I assume it was full but it's of course not an accurate indication of sales as it was a special night.

I'm seeing it tonight (for the first time) and second act is supposed to be reworked during the day today so am curious what shape it'll be in!

Yeah, last night was entirely freebies.

I somehow doubt the second half will be entirely fixed in one day, although stranger things have happened.

Personally, it needs new songs and an entire reshape of the second half for it to work - the first is alright, for the most part.

Yes, what was the alien about...... no, really, what was it supposed to add to the already stupid "storyline"??

I was also in the back row of the stalls, endeavouring to ignore the back and forth of people, around me, but was very easily distracted from the stage.

Ah, what seat number were you? Figure it's entirely likely we were right by each other!

I think one of the creatives must have been to see "The Low Road" at the Royal Court last year and thought "yeah, let's have a bit of that in it".

That was another evening of my life I'm never going to get back..
