Oo enjoy!  might be tempted and try get a ticket nearer the time. Top prices are unbelievable! I I wonder how much she'll be in the show, it is musicals themed so shouldn't be just a small cameo.

I feel they have found a strong cast with great singers, which is absolutely essential for this material, so this would be the opportunity. Because if they don't do it, and the show stops after a year, there will be nothing left once again. Only a possible future film version and we all know what kind of people they will hire for that. (the terrible singing which made the les Mis film end up in the $1,- bin at wall mart after a few weeks, while the 10th anniversary dvd is still popular after 15 years) At least we will have a document that does the material justice.

Such a good point about the longevity of the concert/anniversary production DVDs. I bought the Les Mis film on dvd months ago after seeing it twice at the cinema, I doubt I'll watch it any time soon, mainly because of the inferior singing quality to the concert productions. I have the 10th and 25th anniversary recordings which are my favourites and easily the best after the original soundtrack.

I hope they do what you suggest and film it at the end of its run.

I was at both shows on Saturday, and having never been to a Wicked cast change I wasn't quite sure what to expect. It was a brilliant atmosphere, a great buzz and not OTT at all I don't think, I was sat next to some people who were told it was cast change and it just made them appreciate the applause levels and join in even more I think!

Both shows were fantastic, and Louise was on fire at both! During the matinee I thought wow she's going for it, hold back a bit you've still got another show, but by God, she was amazing, I hadn't seen a vocal performance like that from anyone before. I love the tone in her voice and power so much.

Similarly Gina was her brilliant Glinda as always, really giving it her all for the last performances. Her voice in Thank Goodness and and No one mourns the wicked just goes right through you. She was so funny in the matinee as well, as others have pointed out.

In terms of the muck-up matinee debate I would agree that maybe some indication needs to be given on the performance. I'm surprised that people complained though, there really weren't too many changes that you would know about unless you've seen the show. I presume there's a little annoyance in the fact that there are 'in jokes' that they don't know about and don't understand why some of the audience are laughing.

One gripe I had was the levels the ushers went to, to stop people recording the speeches. I understand it's what they've been told to do and there shouldn't really be recording, but for the speeches, does it really matter?? It's an experience some of the fans want to capture, it doesn't happen at every normal show.

Stage door was packed unsurprisingly, and I thought it was so lovely that there was no doubt that the cast would sign and have photos with EVERYONE there. So appreciative of the fans it was really nice to see.

I'll really miss Louise and Gina, I think they're the favourite pairing I've seen. I never got to see Dianne with Kerry, which I'll always regret, and I loved Rachel too of course. I think it will be a while before I go again, having just seen the tour twice in Manchester (which I also loved btw) and now after Saturday I may have a good few months before seeing Willemijn's Elphaba.

Did something happen to Louise? Saw she put something on Twitter thanking people for kind messages after a tough time.

The 3,000th is the afternoon I believe.

Going to my first CC for Wicked, and decided to go to both shows! As much as I thought I just wanted to see the last show, couldn't resist the muck-up matinee, only ever seen one done before, once at Legally Blonde :)
