paplazaroo, Don't leave it too late though.
If you go to see it and get hooked/enjoy it you will probably want to go back to find out more.
Mainly because it's not possible to see everything in just one visit.

It will be interesting to see if The Drowned Man features in any of the shortlists:

It's a bit difficult to nominate Punchdrunk in acting as it does not really fit in with the traditional actor/actress in a play or musical categories but for me they deserve a nomination at least in the following categories:

Best Director
Best Ensemble
Best Choreograper

and should really romp away with:
Best Set Designer
Best Lighting Designer

The sound is also worth noting but it seems there is not a Best Sound category.
Just one for original music.

but I suspect it might not get the recognition it deserves.
I've done my bit an nominated them anyway.

Hmm. I'm in row A as well, but have not received such a call.

Edit:
Actually just checked my booking on their website and it seems to have been changed from A to AA a couple of weeks ago. I guess they plan to tell me when I pick the ticket up from the box office.

Either row would have been fine, but nice to see I am still going to be front row.

I have no idea why this sold so well before any casting was announced - it's not like the film was a massive hit, and other than Goold no-one involved was a huge name.  When I went to book a couple of months ago I picked a date quite early on (I wanted to see this without too much foreknowledge) and there was only one seat left.  Now it's got Matt Smith in, however, I'm smug as sin.

I'm not surprised this sold well beforehand given the source material. The source book is the main reason I booked early without knowing the cast. Mr Bateman is a bit of a cult figure in literature. Although the fact it is a musical might have put some people off, not me though as music is a big part of the book.

It's going to be one of the more interesting days I have spent at the theatre with this and seeing Let The Right One In a few hours before. ;-)

I disagree - there's so much they can do on screen compared to the stage. If they have everyone living in the same colony, they can make a huge thing of the rebels vs Globalsoft - mix of 1984/The Hunger Games/The Island. It would need to be a war film set in the future with Queen music (and if that's not a tag line I dont know what is!).

I agree parts of it are flimsy, but they can be easily ironed out.

Brian has mentioned a film from time to time on his website, including one comment where he said that a script has already been written, but I don't think it is likely to see the light of day for at least a few years yet. At the moment they seem to be focusing more on other things including a feature  film about Freddie.

So can't see them doing a WWRY film until at least the Biopic is done and dusted, which is probably at least 2 years away.
