#298832 The Ongoing Wicked Discussion Thread

Posted theatre_kirsty on 30 March 2014 - 07:59 PM

I saw Helen and she was very much the posh toff girl. She wasn't at all like Dianne, I found Dianne to be very shrill and shrieky which Helen wasn't .  I can't remember too much actually and it was 7 years ago but I remember seeing her and then the next time I went Dianne had taken over and I just couldn't take to her Glinda at all

#295551 Phantom Cast Change

Just seen that Harriet Jones is now full time Christine bar Monday and Friday nights. Does that mean Olivia has left? I'm guessing Ashleigh Fleming is doing the other 2 evenings?

Not gonna lie I am liking the majority of the cast as a whole but Alistair Brammer a Chris?? I saw him as Marius and found his voice very shaky and a little bleaty. Shall wait and see how he does in this but am just not sure. I am going to the first night so will be able to decide then

#283450 Singing In The Rain 2013/2014 Uk Ireland Tour

As for the rain there was no chance of the audience getting wet. There was a pretty big gap between the stage and the audience.

Amy Ellen Richardson is fantastic as Kathy, so humorous and warm I liked her straight away. Stephane Anelli took me a while to warm up to but I enjoyed his performance. As for James Leece as Don Lockwood I wasn't too sure. He seemed to lack the certain charisma and confidence that Don requires. Maybe it's just me being used to Adam Cooper. He will probably grow into the role. Definitely worth seeing!

Well that was an incredible performance. Never seen anything like it. The whole cast really blew the show out the water. Big applause for Katherine Kingsley and Daniel Crossley. There were no speeches but there was extra water kicked over the first few rows and being on the front I got a good soaking! I will really miss this cast they all work so well together and I think the next cast have a lot to live upto!

I saw the show for my first time at the wednesday matinee. was second row of stalls and loved it. I'm not usually one for old hollywood style musicals but i loved it for its simplicity, its brilliat cast and the dancing. The dancing was incredible! Everyone was on top form. I think I may be a little in awe of the Strallen family. I had previously seen Summer and Zizi in LND and Dirty Dancing but had never seen Scarlett and wow!  how can so much talent exist in one family?

Adam Cooper and Daniel Crossley were great as Don and Cosmo, really funny. and Katherine Kingsley as Lina Lomont was also really hilarious. It was so hot on Wednesday too that I didnt even mind getting totally and utterly soaked by them all in the finale. A really fabulous show and I would love to go and see it again!
