Why would anyone want to see a musical from the front row? You see the wig lines... Into the wings... Don't get an over view of the whole look of the show.. Have people cut off at the feet. Yuck. I'd rather sit in the upper circle than there!

Performance. Drama. You're right there in thick of it. There's no one else there but you. You get lost in it and for me, that just makes it a greater experience. Everything you've mentioned is cosmetic, and all I'm interested in at heart is the performance. When I sit further back or high up, it's really easy to feel disconnected, like a spectator. There's a truth being up front can bring that just doesn't work at the back. I like to watch more than just the delivery of a script - I want to see that they mean whatever it is they're doing in their eyes - and the best actors can do it.

But it's just my personal choice - I have a background in TV/film production which is probably to blame.

#294005 Wos Awards 2014

Maybe it was from shock when Scarlett Strallen beat Rosalie Craig or outrage when Daniel Radcliffe beat ben whishaw. Good to see he's alright and Rosalie Craig + Hadley Fraser accompanied him to A and E, hope they had a sing a long while they waited! The results overall were predictable, they should rename it the 'Who's better known awards'

I was at Les Mis the other night when a rather tweedy looking man, who seemed to be accompanying his parents and obviously not enjoying himself, actually got out his phone and made a call right in front of me during the performance!

Will this inconsiderate behaviour ever stop? :P

Haha!  Was going to put the exact same thing myself, damnit!  I can't believe Mark Gatiss wrote a script that condoned that sort of behaviour!  If and when I see Coriolanus I might phone my brother up midway through one of his big speeches and show him what's what...
