#277145 The Ongoing Wicked Discussion Thread

Posted holler on 05 September 2013 - 02:17 PM

I always crack up when they're late for OSD. Also when the Elphaba (Kerry Ellis was guilty of this) starts unbuttoning the white jacket as they're running off stage. She was late for OSD, she was singing before we could see her - I'd forgotten that. Chloe once came on with her dress undone at the back! That was special.

Where was everyone else - how come she was doing 2 shows?

'Misplaced' always says that when Harriet Thorpe, just before A Sentimental Man, alludes to the Wizard being a very *generous* man, she's the only Morrible that makes that sound truly dirty. And now I can never not think that.

I didn't realise belting was supposed to be moist.

I'd love Sabrina in the role, she'd be a fantastic Elphie, but it'd be nice if Willemijn did a short stint over here to complete her Wicked world takeover. ;) I've seen her a few times and nothing beats seeing her live. She's incredible.

Yes but that surely is based on the likelihood of having seen those performers in many other shows and following their careers.. These are kids. I don't understand. People are doing it on broadway world too.. Obsessing over which 9 year old is playing Annie.
I don't quite agree - a lot of discussion over actors is based on their merits as actors and not how well known they are/are likely to become! And all performers have to start somewhere! These kids may well be the 'known' performers in a few years!

Ooh I really want to see Hayley! I wouldn't mind seeing her in the role full time actually.

But if that happens I'd rather have a new Glinda aswell...

I think Hayley is great, new young elphaba. I'm planning on seeing her over the summer, think she has some dates in August

I wanted to like it, as I'm a big Tim Minchin fan. But it just didn't do it for me.
