Gavin Creel seems to have been out of the show quite a lot recently - is he OK - or perhaps he's just having a holiday now that the show has extended?

Ashley Day has posted that he's giving his 100th show as Elder Price today.  By my reckoning that's about a quarter of all the performances since it started previewing last February.  My hit rate is the other way round - having only seen Gavin once in the four times I have been there.

Apparently he's leaving Once at the beginning of March.  New cast to be announced this week.

5 Tony Wins (no other performer has won more)
18 Emmy nominations
6 Golden Globe awards
3 Oscar nominations (and an honorary award last year)
Appeared with both the RSC and the National
And still playing leading roles on stage at the age of 88 (5 Broadway appearances in the last few years, and a six month Australian tour of Driving Miss Daisy this year)

Nah - she's not really achieved much!

Mark Evans recently tweeted that he'd be staying with the US tour of Mormon for a further six months, to the end of the year.  Though given that cast changes for this show tend to happen unannounced (or at least not until they have happened) - I'm not sure such a statement means much.

In the Cottesloe I've had tickets for performances of The Pillowman and Gesthemene which were cancelled because of cast illness and no understudies, and I know that some performances of Curious Incident were also cancelled.  I attended one of the This House performances which had replacement actors with scripts, and at the Menier Tiffany Graves covered for Tamsin Outhwaite in Sweet Charity when I was there.
