Seen it last night. Didn't even notice she cracked so she must have covered it well. Overall great performances. Love Marilyn as Morrible and the leads were great. Liam Doyle was just like all the later London Fiyero's nothing really to write home about. The show was great from finish to end. The sound indeed could be a lot louder but I am sure they will adjust that through time. The orchestrations are more synthetic, the staging is smaller and more basic but the heart of the show is still there and the sets and costume are all the same.
Hmm, they are on a friends Facebook so I can't really link you however a twitter search has brought up a similar image where you can see what I mean. Usually there is the curtain in the centre then the set cogs coming out around it from the sides. Now the curtains in the centre with the cogs painted on each side of it instead of there actually being cogs.
I have seen a few pictures tonight of the stage interestingly enough I noticed the cogs seem to be painted onto the sides now instead of physically there. Also there is no outer stage other than the two cog platforms the rest is in the boxed section of the stage which is pretty good for any action on the stage front because given the theatre design you don't miss much if anything. Could just look that way from photos but I will report back when I see it on the weekend.
